BlackBerry Torch 9850 on Verizon Wireless
The North American network carrier Verizon Wireless has announced the addition of the new 9850 Blackberry Torch to its lineup of Blackberry smartphones. This comes on the heels of a string of releases from RIM, the maker of Blackberry cellphones, over the past few months. The 9850 is a different version of the 9860 Torch that is made specifically for CDMA cellular carriers like Sprint, Telus , Bell and Verizon.
The new 9850 has some impressive features and is RIM’s answer to the stiff competition put up by Apple’s iPhone and the numerous Android driven smartphones from HTC, Samsung, Motorola, LG, Google Nexus, and Sony Ericsson. This model is a direct challenge to the smartphone market as the 9850 only has a 3.7 inch screen and comes with no keyboard. It also comes loaded with the latest OS7 firmware which is designed specifically for the new touchscreen experience now available on the latest Blackberry models like the new 9930 and 9900 Bold.
